I want to share a story with you where MPI was able to bring light and hope to a village family in Ukraine.
This past September, MPI staff and team members were in Ukraine visiting a family in a small impoverished village. Our partners have been diligently sharing the Light of Christ to this family for some time. The oldest daughter, Anna, has been attending outreach programs in this village, run weekly by our partners. After helping our partners pray for Anna, love her and sow the gospel into her heart, Anna accepted Christ as her Saviour. During the MPI team’s recent visit, they were able to visit the entire family. Anna’s parents were forced, due to unemployment, to move into their parent’s home. The family shared with us that the well on the property had run dry and they did not have any water. They were frightened because they didn’t know how they would survive. Our of team each shared their testimony and prayed with the family. God provided enough resources (through both our team and others) to enable the family to get a new well. Now the family believes in God and His amazing provision.
This past summer we were able to sponsor a special camp for some of the girls in one of the villages we regularly visit. Here is a testimony from our partners of how we were able to impact these children’s lives.
Children were inspired and filled with positive thoughts as they went home. They didn’t want to leave becase their living conditons at home are horrible. One of the girls, Snezhana, lives in a home with parents who are aloholics. Her home has no toilet or shower. Two other girls, Anya and Diana, live in a home with no running water. This camp was like a breath of fresh air, like a ray of light, for these all of these girls. They saw a Christian attitude and they accepted Christ as their Saviour for the first time.
